York Racecourse is looking forward to its first Saturday of the season on Saturday 23 May, seven great races followed by tribute act, Re Take That.
Action on the track will again feature a Pattern race at York, the Group 3 William Hill Brontë Cup, part of a packed card worth nearly £300,000
Wider musical tastes will be catered for as Flat Cap Brass will be on the Edwardian Weighing Room Lawn, with The Monotones performing an upbeat selection of classic covers from the Churchill Tyes Stage.
There is a host of additional entertainment, a 360-selfie camera, the living flower wall as well as trips to the start in the company of a Grand National winning rider.
A weekend means the award-winning Bustardthorpe Development comes into its own; enjoy the Churchill Tyres Lawn, Theakston or Guinness Bars to wash down some fresh, local Fish ‘n’ Chips.
The refreshed look continues with new Guinness and Prosecco Bars plus a host of new casual dining offers, from gourmet hotdogs or cheese toasties through to donuts and the more traditional range of deep filled Yorkshire Puddings or a homemade pie deal.
After racing, the promise of proper steaks in the city centre awaits racegoers through race sponsors, Tomahawk.
Racegoers aged under-18 are admitted free of charge, with adult admission to the Clocktower Enclosure just £17. Admission for all areas will be available on the raceday itself, with ample free car parking as well as a regular shuttle bus service from the train station.
