The coach and minibus drop off and collection area will be within the Coach 'C' park, which is off Bishopthorpe Road to the south of the Terry's Chocolate factory building.

Drivers should approach York Racecourse from the A64 junction, via right past York College, proceed via Bishopthorpe Village and then to the Coach park off Bishopthorpe Road.

The new drop off and collection area will be clearly signposted from both the north and south of the course and our partner traffic management company will be on hand throughout every raceday, to provide direction to drivers.

Working with North Yorkshire Police and City of York Council, coaches and minibuses will not be allowed to stop on Bishopthorpe Road, Campelshon Road, Knavesmire Road or outside the Terry's factory, to drop off or collect racegoers.

This also means that coaches/minibuses do not need to stay for the day but can return for the collection phase.

York Racecourse would like to kindly ask that all minibus and coach drivers ensure all passengers are advised to return Coach 'C' park for their homeward journey.

The recommended raceday route to the racecourse from all directions is via the A64. Routes from the A59 are also signposted. Please note that on racedays there will be road closures and restrictions in some areas so please follow the yellow directional signs. Please do not rely on your satellite navigation system.

The car parks are colour coded – please follow the blue squares for Car Park A, the green squares for Car Park C and red squares for Car Park D.

Please note that Car Park A is not suitable for vehicles larger than a private car. Minibuses, limousines and other larger vehicles should use Car Park C. Car Park D is for permit holders only.
