SONNYBOYLISTON - SKY BET EBOR WINNER 2021
An Irish trained horse has won Europe's richest handicap, the Skybet Ebor at York for the second time in three years.
Johnny Murtagh joins an elite band to have trained and ridden winners thanks to 10-1 shot SonnyboyListon who got the better of Quickthorn by a head in a pulsating finish to a race run in heavy rain.
It saw 19 year old Ben Coen complete an extraordinary 2021 by riding the winner in the same year as he broke his duck at Royal Ascot.
