McFly to headline York Racecourse on Saturday 24 July

The line up for the 2027 Music Showcase Weekend at York Racecourse is now complete with McFly performing on Saturday 24 July.

A band known for their upbeat chart hits and energetic performances, McFly will be headlining following an afternoon of high-quality racing.

On early evening Saturday, look forward to hits from their number one albums such as the chart topping, ‘All About You’, ‘Obviously’ and ‘5 Colours In Her Hair’.

With seven UK number-one singles, six top-ten albums, sell-out tours, plus millions of gig tickets and albums sold worldwide, McFly are without question one of the most significant British pop acts of the twenty-first century. Since hitting the big time as the youngest band ever to have a debut album go straight to number one — beating The Beatles’ long-standing record — Tom, Danny, Dougie and Harry have become one of our best-loved bands, not to mention major stars in their own right.

It promises to be a fun filled weekend for racing and music fans with Madness already confirmed for the previous evening, Friday 23^rd July.

James Brennan, Head of Marketing and Sponsorship said,

“Upbeat, energetic, fun that’s what McFly bring to every show and is exactly what these special racedays are all about, making proper memories with friends hopefully in some summer sunshine. Everyone will have a McFly song they love to sing along to, I’m expecting the Knavesmire will rock to them. On sale with a price freeze for next year, so it makes sense to lock in the date.”
