STRADIVARIUS has scooped the one million pound stayers bonus after winning the Weatherbys Hamilton Lonsdale Cup on the third day of the Ebor Meeting at York.
The man who has paid out a one million pound bonus to connections of Stradivarius after his win in the Weatherbys Hamilton Lonsdale Cup won't be put off putting it up again.
Stradvarius scooped the jackpot offered by Weatherbys Hamilton for winning four of the nominated races, culminating in the big stayers race on the Knavesmire.
Charles Hamilton is thrilled with the success of the whole venture, despite having to pay the seven figure sum.

The 40-1 outsider Alpha Delphini trained by Bryan Smart and ridden by Graham Lee has won a dramatic Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes, the feature Group 1 on day 3 of the Ebor Festival at York.
In a finish so tight it took the Judge five minutes to decide, the seven year old beat Mabbs Cross by a Nose, with Blue Point third.
