York Racecourse is looking forward to welcoming racegoers to enjoy quality sport and a concert by Becky Hill, on Saturday 27 June.
A seven-race programme, backed by Al Basti Equiworld Dubai, will offer almost £300,000 in prize money.
Racing and music fans can look forward to a concert after racing from the English singer- songwriter rose to fame after appearing on the first series of The Voice UK. Becky Hill has since gone on to post six top 10 hits in her career to date. Her first UK Number One was Gecko (overdrive), with Disconnect, Remember and Crazy What Love Can Do also featuring. Twice a Brit Award winner as Best Dance Act, racegoers can expect a high energy performance from the Glastonbury-style stage, after the seven races earlier in the afternoon.
The highlight on the course is the Group Three Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai Criterion Stakes, a contest that offers £100,000) to seven-furlong specialists. The winning horse will be offered a “run for free” in the recently elevated Group One Sky Bet City of York Stakes, over the same course and distance, on Saturday 22 August.
Gates will open at 11.15am, with a range of lunch options from the Gimcrack Restaurant to freshly delivered seafood, Fish ‘n’ Chips, Yorkshire gourmet hotdogs and cheese toasties.
The Champagne Terraces and Bustardthorpe End Lawn are a destination to enjoy champagnes from the House of Gardet as well as Guinness 0.0.
A Living Flower Wall as well as the 360degree camera offer ways to capture some Proper Memories from the day.
