Shortlist Revealed for the 2025 Sky Bet Ebor Community Sweepstake

The 22 shortlisted Yorkshire-based good causes all in the running to win the £20,000 grand prize confirmed.

Record number of charities, community groups and foundations applied for the Sky Bet Ebor Festival Community Sweepstake 2025.

York Racecourse, in partnership with Sky Bet (part of Flutter Entertainment), has unveiled the 22 Yorkshire-based charities, foundations and community groups shortlisted for the Sky Bet Ebor Community Sweepstake 2025.

As part of this year’s exciting sweepstake-style campaign, each of the shortlisted contenders will be assigned a stall number and paired with a horse competing in the 2025 Sky Bet Ebor. The pairings will be revealed during a live televised draw on Thursday 21st August, ahead of the much-anticipated raceday on Saturday 23rd August.

The organisation matched with the winning horse will be awarded a £20,000 donation to support their work, with second and third place receiving £5,000 and £2,000 respectively. All other shortlisted groups will still benefit, each receiving a £1,000 contribution towards a designated project or community initiative.

With more than 170 entries from across the Yorkshire region, the shortlist represents a diverse range of causes, all looking to make a difference to their respective communities spread over the traditional ridings.
