Philip Makin is celebrating training his first winner at York, four years after being Champion Jockey on the Knavesmire.

Makin began training earlier this year after being forced to hang up his saddle on medical grounds.

He was trackside as Galloway Hills, carrying his colours, landed a 6 furlong handicap on Charity Day.
