This year is the 250th Gimcrack Dinner – a black tie event held at York Racecourse on the second Tuesday of December each year, to celebrate the winning colt in the Group 2 Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Gimcrack Stakes.

In 2021, the toast to British Racing will be made at the conclusion of a speech by Paul Hensey on behalf of Al Shaqab Racing, a copy can be found here. Their colt, Lusail, won this year’s Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Gimcrack Stakes. Trained in Wiltshire by Richard Hannon.
