CANBERRA LEGEND TO RUN IN AL BASTI EQUIWORLD DUBAI DANTE

Canberra Legend, the impressive winner of the Fielden Stakes at Newmarket, is all set to put his Derby credentials to the test in the Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Dante next Thursday.

The James Ferguson trained colt showed an impressive turn of foot to come from an unpromising position in the Listed nine furlong event.

One of his likely rivals on Thursday 18 May is the Charlie Johnston trained Dear My Friend who himself was an impressive winner of a Listed race on All Weather Finals Day at Newcastle. The colt is owned by Middleham Park Racing whose enthusiastic band of owners will be hoping he can enhance his prospects of glory at Epsom.

The three-day Dante Festival commences the York Season on Wednesday 17th May with the 1895 Duke of York Clipper Stakes and the Tattersalls Musidora being the two feature races. The meeting concludes on Friday 19th May with the feature event being the Boodles Yorkshire Cup.
