As the national horseracing fixture list for 2018 has now been published by the British Horseracing Authority, York Racecourse is pleased to confirm its own eighteen day schedule for next season.
The pattern of the season is very similar to the current season, beginning in mid-May with the Dante Festival, encompassing seven Saturdays, a single Sunday and a sole evening fixture.
The Welcome to Yorkshire Ebor Festival is the sporting and social highlight of the year, with the three Group One contests remaining the feature races of the weekdays, whilst the Ebor Handicap is the centrepiece of Saturday 25 August.
Music fans can combine their passion with the sporting action on three dates in 2018; beginning with Saturday 30 June as well as the now traditional Music Showcase Weekend on Friday evening 27 and Saturday 28 July. The music artists for these dates will be published once they are known, this varies depending on the act, this has been in November but may well not be until the New Year.
Tickets and badges for the 2018 season will not go on general sale before the conclusion of the current season on Saturday 14 October.
