York Racecourse stops taking advanced bookings for Saturday 30 June with racing and Paloma Faith

York Racecourse confirms that the combination of a seven race card backed by Sunbets and Paloma Faith has proved so popular that the capacity in both County Stand and Grandstand and Paddock for Saturday 30 June has now been reached. Consequently, we regret to advise that tickets & badges for these areas are no longer available for purchase. No more admissions will be sold for these areas, either in advance or on the gates on the day itself.

The Clocktower Enclosure (called the Picnic Enclosure by some) in the middle of the racecourse is only open to sales once gates open at 11.15am, so there is still the opportunity to be part of the racing and music by using this area. The capacity of Clocktower Enclosure is in the thousands, though racegoers are reminded that it remains subject to availability and did reach capacity by mid afternoon on the equivalent day last season, so the advice is to arrive early.

During July, at the Music Showcase Weekend, there are two further racing + music events  when Sir Tom Jones will perform after racing on Friday evening 27 July; then Boyzone take to the stage as part of their farewell tour, after an afternoon of racing on Saturday 28 July. Whilst both of these dates are also proving popular, there is availability for all areas, County Stand, Grandstand & Paddock and Clocktower Enclosure (on the day).

Advance booking remains available for all other racedays at York including the Welcome to Yorkshire Ebor Festival in August.

On all three music dates 30/6, 27/7 and 28/7), the refurbished Clocktower Enclosure will be part of the atmosphere and offers an angled view of the stage and great view of the racing. Moreover the sound system is being improved so it will reach this area. Admission to the Clocktower Enclosure is £12 for adults, £10 for over 65s and free of charge to accompanied under 18s. It can only be purchased as gates open on the raceday. Gates will open at 4pm on Friday and 11.15am on both Saturdays. The capacity of Clocktower Enclosure is in the thousands, however the advice, as always, is to arrive early. Please note, transfers to Stands Side will not be possible on Saturday 30 June.
