All those that advance book for the 2010 season at York Racecourse will be entered into the Prize Draw for the fabulous prize to visit the Saratoga track for three of their racedays in early August 2010. The lucky prize winner in the prize draw will receive a trip for two to New York, including return flights, transfer to Saratoga Springs town, four nights bed and breakfast accommodation in the Hampton Inn and admission to the Premier enclosure at the track for three days, complete with lunch.

York Racecourse is proud to announce their partnership or ‘twinning’ with Saratoga Racecourse based in upstate New York; ‘Old York’ meets ‘New York’.
Speaking about the link, Charles Hayward, the President and CEO of the New York Racing Association (the body that operates Saratoga) said; “York Racecourse is one of the pre-eminent racetracks in the United Kingdom and has many similarities to Saratoga Racecourse including world class summer racing in a beautiful setting.It is a great opportunity for NYRA to promote the Dante Festival from York to our Saratoga racing fans and I am excited about this new business relationship.”
To celebrate the new relationship both courses are attributing race titles to the partnership. On the second day of the Ebor Festival at York, Wednesday 19th August, the card will feature the ‘Win a trip to Saratoga Races EBF Fillies’ Stakes’. The race programme at Saratoga later the same day includes the “New York Meets York Races Stakes”.
As the names suggest both courses are also running competitions for their racegoers to travel across the Atlantic

*Saratoga Prize Draw Terms and ConditionsThe prize is based on return airfare in economy class from Manchester airport to JFK airport New York departing Friday August 6th 2010 and returning Tuesday August 10th 2010. Airport taxes are included however any excess baggage allowances are the responsibility of the prizewinner. A transfer will be provided both ways between the airport and Saratoga Springs Town. Accommodation is based on two people sharing at the Hampton Inn in Saratoga on a bed and breakfast basis. A lunch will provided on each day at the racecourse itself. Evening food, drinks and incidental costs are not included. The winner will be responsible for transfer costs including airport parking at the UK end. The prize includes admission for two people to the premier area at Saratoga for August 7th, 8th and 9th. Neither the date of the trip nor the elements included in it are transferable. There is no cash alternative. Winners accept that the granting of the prize will be subject to publicity and grant their permission for any such activity. Over 18’s only. Any passport, visa and other document requirements as well as holiday insurance are the responsibility of the winner.
