Possible horses heading to Ebor

Ialysos possible Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes runner

A return to Group One company could be on the cards for Ialysos after he bounced back to form with a determined success in the Coral Charge at Sandown on Saturday.

The five-year-old arrived, nicknamed the ‘Greek Freak’, from Greece with a big reputation but after scoring on his first start for Luca Cumani at Haydock, he failed to get competitive in the Golden Jubilee at Royal Ascot.

He showed that run to be all wrong when getting the better of Triple Aspect by half a length under Christophe Lemaire and a tilt at the Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes on August 21 is on the radar.

"It was very pleasing as we wanted him to win a race after what happened at Ascot where he was a bit of a disappointment after the way things panned out and everything else," said Cumani.

"He did it well and Christophe gave him a very good ride. The Nunthorpe is a possibility but it's a long way away and whether he has a race before then, I'm not sure yet. We'll have a think.

"There are a few options for him but we will just have to see as we haven't made a plan yet."

Barshiba possible Darley Yorkshire Oaks runner

Barshiba could bid for Group One glory at York in Darley Yorkshire Oaks in the August Ebor festival following her impressive display in the Bet365 Lancashire Oaks at Haydock on Saturday.

The five-year-old powered clear of her rivals in the straight to score with plenty to spare. Trainer, David Elsworth, and believes the Darley Yorkshire Oaks on August 20 is a realistic target.

"She did it very well and I wasn't surprised as some of her form was very good," said Elsworth.

"We'll look at the Yorkshire Oaks and I suppose the Oaks winner (Sariska) could also turn up there. There is a hefty weight-for-age (allowance) still and we have to give those three-year-olds a lot of weight so it won't be easy.

"She took a while to come to herself in the spring so hopefully she can retain the good form she is in now.

"I'm not sure if she'll run again before York and we try to make a decision based on the feeling we get off the animals themselves.” said Elsworth.

Sea the Stars maybe heading for the Juddmonte International

Bookmakers trimmed Sea The Stars at the head of the market for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, but the Paris showpiece is unlikely to figure on the winner's agenda.

Oxx added: "The Irish Champion Stakes is his major objective and we have to decide if he will run again before then.

"The King George and Juddmonte International are the two options. The King George is only three weeks away, but on the other hand it would give him a good break before Leopardstown, and he will only run in one of those two races.”

Desert Sea and a shot at the totesport Ebor?

The jockey, Ryan Moore rode Desert Sea who slugged it out with Victoria Montoya for the Coral Marathon and came out on top by a length.

Winning handler David Arbuthnot explained: "The key is good ground and they went a nice gallop - it was a proper stayers' race.

"I wouldn't discount the Ebor now."
