Reading the Racecard
Our racecards at York hold much more information than the runners and riders for each race. On a raceday you can find most of the information you need in yours, from advice on where to eat, the history of the feature races and interviews with people involved in the racing world.
When you’re looking at the runners and riders of each race the card actually tells you more than the names of the jockeys and the colours of their silks, shown in the diagram below:
