Melrose Club Lounge now available to book online.

Located on the second floor of the Melrose Stand with its own balcony looking over the Home Straight, the Lounge was opened to much acclaim in May 2010.

There are only 200 places each day and the smart yet relaxed ambiance seems to have struck a chord with many regulars at York.

It offers the perfect touch of luxury for a family occasion and has seen Silver Weddings and graduation congratulations enjoyed.

The atmosphere makes it ideal for entertaining business guests at the races when a smaller party or more informal style is appropriate. If you are wanting to bring a party of ten then the Ebor restaurant is well worth considering (just call Berni on 01904 638971).

It is important to note that the informal nature and lounge style means that seating arrangements are casual, using sofas, armchairs, stools and poseur tables. The Lounge offers a chance to mingle with your fellow racegoers and does not have reserved seats.

In 2012 as well as enjoying all the benefits of County Stand admission, a Melrose Club Lounge Badge will include:

- Exclusive use of the Melrose Club Lounge itself with a balcony offering prime viewing across the home straight as well as a splendid conservatory that overlooks the Weighing Room.

- There is private lift access and a full totepool service.

- Yorkshire Tapas (canapés and lite bites) where local and seasonal ingredients are prominent.

- Light Afternoon Tea.

- Credit card account on the bar throughout the day.

- Every Melrose Club Lounge guest who purchases a bottle of Mumm champagne will be entered into a draw to win a bottle on the day.

Melrose Club Lounge Terms and Conditions 2012

-Melrose Club can be booked in advance and will only be available on the day subject to availability.
-Consistent with the informal lounge style bookings are limited to 20 people per party.
- Any cancellation within 48hours of a raceday will not qualify for a refund.
- Where applicable the early bird County Stand discount will apply.
- York Racecourse reserves the right to withdraw the Melrose Club Lounge to new bookings or amend the price for new bookings at any point.
- Standard terms and conditions of entry still apply.
- In the unlikely event that the Melrose Club Lounge is not available on any given day then booked customers will be given the option of a full refund of the fee or transfer to another facility.
- Please note under 5's attend for free and children between the ages of 5 to 15 attend for £31/£33 (racegoers in this age bracket are not charged an admission when accompanied by a paying adult). 16 years and over are required to pay £62 or £66 plus appropriate County Stand badge price. * In 2012 the price of £62 applies to all racedays with the exception of the Welcome to Yorkshire Ebor Festival (Wednesday August 22nd to Saturday August 25th) when it is £66.
