Do's and Don'ts at the races

  • Do arrive early to take in the atmosphere and to find your way to your (soon to be) favourite bars and eateries.
  • Do take a trip down to the parade ring (number 24 on the map) before the start of a race to help you pick your winners.

  • Do read through your racecard (free on entry to County Stand, £2.50 in other enclosures) to learn about your favourite horse- or to pick out jockeys' colours and horse names.
  • Do sample our chefs' exquisite food, whether in the form of a light bite, a full sit down meal or the delights of afternoon tea in the Gimcrack Restaurant (County Stand only).
  • Do wear a jacket, collar and tie if you are a gent in the County Stand .
