Directions & Car Park Maps

York Racecourse is easy to reach from all the UK's larger centres of population. Throughout the season pick up travel updates on York Raceday Radio (1602 KHz, medium wave) when you're within 10 miles of the course.

By Road

York Racecourse is just outside the city of York with good motorway links on the M1 and A1. Once near the city, from the south, east and west the A64 and A1036 are the roads to follow. From the north, use the A19 and A59, then the York Ring Road to avoid the city centre.

TRAFFIC UPDATE: Please allow extra time for your journey due to roadworks at the Billborough Services on the A64.

For certain meetings a special traffic plan may apply. Please refer to your ticket pack or follow the relevant signs on the day.
