Jeremy Noseda has confirmed that the Group 2 Duke of York Hearthstead Homes Stakes on Wednesday 14^th May, the opening day of the York 2008 season, is the likely initial target for Group 1 Golden Jubilee Stakes winner Soldier’s Tale.

 

The horse who started his 2007 campaign in the same race, finishing third behind Amadeus Wolf, is also likely to carry new colours this year has it is reported in the Racing Post that  Adam Sangster has brokered a deal to purchase the seven-year-old. The horse will take up stallion duties in Australia at the end of the year.

 

Noseda hopes the horse, who has been blighted by various ailments and injuries throughout his career, has a clear run this year and further fulfil the potential the trainer has always believed he has.
